Covered Bridge

I absolutely love covered bridges, especially the old ones. This particular one is not old, however it is only a couple hours from our house. I used to go to Chimney Rock & Lake Lure regularly, and always wondered about this bridge. So one year my mom and I finally got out and walked around. I am trying to dig out some older pictures and scrap them (I need to clear up some space), so this made it to a page!

This page was quick and super easy - and everything came in a fancy, shmancy travel related page kit from Momenta just ready to go. It was great and made the page just pop together in like 15 minutes!

Walk A Mile... in your shoes

I absolutely adore when grayson wears our shoes (pronounced "shewa"). So one day last weekend I was cooking dinner and I hear him clomping down the hall from our bedroom. Luckily I had my camera on the counter, so I finally got to grab some good pics of him!

So not only did I get some cute pics, but I absolutely love how the layout turned out!

All the supplies are Momenta, minus the adhesive & pop dots.
Textured Cardstock (PA-1036)
Metallics Paper Pad (PA-1160)
Metallic Black Alphabet (ST-1814)
Gem Stickers (ST-3056)
Mini Puffy Flourish Stickers (ST-2841)

I wish you could see how shimmery the background paper is. I tried to get a picture in the sun, but the little hands, feet and paws around my house kept me from it. Seriously though, that metallics paper is absolutely awesome - and you can get it in silver or something similar in gold!

Altered Frame *Little Man*

I have a ton of frames sitting around that I want to do things with. And I'm in a cleaning out sort of mood lately - so I decided to alter one and be done with it! I like how it turned out (I'm drawn to bright & bold colors lately). Of course it helps that my cute little guy is the center of attention for it. :)

It is created with Momenta products and honestly didn't take long at all. I love how it turned out - now I just need to find a place to hang it (but I'm sure that won't be hard).

Momenta Supplies:
Textured Cardstock (PA-0659)
Hidden Hues Cardstock (PA-1157)
Super Paper Pad (PAA-1992)
Metalic Black Alpha Stickers (ST-1814)

Scrapbook Chicks - Kelly's June Page Kit

Scrapbook Chicks created a smaller page kit for some of their designers this month. I loved getting some of the Fancy Pants "My Family" line in my kit! Be sure to check out my page kit at the scrapbook chicks store.

Here are the fun things I created with it, and I still have lots of pieces left over to work with! Don't forget you can click on the image to see a larger picture.

Citrus Tree Studio Quick Fire Photography Challenge

I mentioned yesterday that Citrus Tree Studio had a quick fire photography challenge this weekend. Here were the categories and my pictures from the weekend to match.

1. outdoor furniture - grayson's blue chair

2. person wearing yellow - that would be me, sorry... I'm not looking so swift these days, especially in yellow (which I'm surprised I had).

3. plaid pattern - grayson's flip flops

4. plant holder - my bamboo on the kitchen sink

5. sporting aparatus - grayson's t-ball set!

Happy Father's Day

I am so thankful my son has a wonderful father. They absolutely adore each other and you can see how they light each other up in one glance.

Despite the twinges of jealousy and the complaints about how it appears Grayson loves his daddy more, I am happy and couldn't ask for more. So as I sit here pregnant, emotional and sappy I have to say I hope my husband has a wonderful father's day, better than any day could be.

I am lucky enough to be able to spend the day with my dad as well, who will be joining us later for dinner.

So thank you, to all the Father's out there - I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating your hugely important role in our lives.

And to my birth father, though I don't know who you are, I thank you. Because without you, I wouldn't have the joy of knowing my Dad or seeing my husband as a Dad.

"Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad."

Happy Saturday!

Nothing scrappy today, just some pics of our enjoyable family day. :) Hot & humid, but I sucked it up and went out to play anyhow.

There's a quick fire photography challenge at Citrus Tree Studio this weekend, so it prompted me to take my camera out with me. I won't share the pictures for the challenge until tomorrow (still need one more) - but I wanted to share some others I took today.

So here are some of the things that made my day super fabulous...

* riding with daddy *

* bike time*

* beginnings of a butternut *

* daylily in the yard *

I hope you have had a wonderful saturday as well and I'll see you tomorrow with the pics for my quick fire challenge! Check it out, there is still time to get your pics in!

Citrus Tree Studio June Sketch

I fell in love with the sketch on Citrus Tree Studio when I saw it! It's a great sketch from Julie Bonner, one that is ensured to inspire and wow you. There are a few days left to get your page in, so definitely come by and check it out.

Here is the page I created for the sketch, some pictures of Grayson in the chair lift at Sci Works over Memorial Day weekend. Poor little guy, his arms weren't quite long enough to reach the buttons so he had to have help, but I think once he figured out what was going to happen that he enjoyed it!

sickly scrappin

So I went to a scrappin' retreat this weekend, and got sick not long after getting there. I finally felt up to unpacking today and had to laugh when I found this...

This is apparently what happens when you scrap sickly! I can't even spell! I had to share, cause I really got a good chuckle out of it. Maybe I should check the rest of my pages for spelling errors! LOL!

Momenta Digitals

One of the things I love about momenta is that they have paper and digital products! It's great for people like me who love to play with both. :)

So here are a couple projects I've done with Momenta digitals.

This is using the Sweet Talk Collection, which will be available soon on the momenta site.

And this is a real quick & simple page using the Family Ties Collection freebie available on the site now.
