Citrus Tree Studio December Challenge

Since I was lucky enough to get a GDT spot at Citrus Tree Studio this month, I also get to host a challenge. I'm doing an ad challenge... and there is a great prize up for grabs!

So head on over to the CTS board and check it out. :)

I created this page (sorry about the bad picture)...

using design inspiration from this ad....

I'd love to see what you can do with the ad. And be sure to share it over at CTS for a chance to win the 6" paper pack from Kaiser Craft!

CTS December Kit {Altered Reveal}

Earlier in the week I shared the layouts I created using the Christmas Potpourri kit from Citrus Tree Studio. Today I'm sharing the altered goodies (and a card) that I also created using the kit.

Seriously, this kit was lots of fun to work with and made for great holiday stuff. I highly suggest you jump over and pick it up. You know you are going to have holiday pictures... so why not be ready to scrap them when the mood strikes?

Thanks for stopping by - hope you enjoyed the creations!

CTS December Kit {Layouts Revealed}

I was a super lucky girl for my Guest Design Team spot at Citrus Tree Studio! I got to work with the Christmas Potpourri kit, which I mentioned before in my sneaks that I absolutely loved. I will even be picking up another one for this years holiday layouts!

So I'm here today to share my layouts with you (I've got some other projects, so be sure to check back later this week). I love the projects that I created and I hope you will too! And definitely swing by the forum at CTS, its full of fun challenges and friendly chatter!!

Hope you enjoyed my layouts. Like I said, be sure to check back later in the week for the other goodies I created with the "Christmas Potpourri" kit from Citrus Tree Studio!

And speaking of CTS... come ring in the new year at a crop from 12/31 - 1/2! The GDT members are participating and I have no doubt there will be loads of inspiration and awesome challenges. And, check out the prizes available. Come join us!!

Citrus Tree Studio December Kit

I was lucky enough to be asked to design with one of the December kits from Citrus Tree Studio. I got the Christmas Potpourri kit and let me tell you - it rocks! I'll definitely be picking up another one to scrap this years holiday pictures.

I thought I would share a couple of the sneak peeks to perk your interest! Be sure to check out CTS and the forum later this month for the full reveal (12/5) and some fun challenges (12/10).

Treasured Scrapbooking More July GDT Projects

I had so much fun working with the July kit from Treasured Scrapbooking. It really is an awesome kit, I love the natural colors and the embellies are perfect. So I wanted to share the rest of my July GDT reveal with everyone.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Jeff & Grayson. They enjoy every minute of each other, it is so much fun to watch them. And I love the quote... so I had to use it on the page. I know it doesn't exactly match the picture, but it speaks to me as much as the picture does. So that's why I opted for it.

A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.

And this last is an altered frame. I picked up these frames at Target years ago on clearance for $1. I have a few of them, so I figured it was a good time to use one!

TS Newsletter Projects (working with sketches)

As a GDT at Treasured Scrapbooking this month I had the pleasure of helping write an article for the newsletter. It's a fab newsletter and filled with inspiration, ideas, tips and just great scrappy knowledge. If you haven't signed up, you should - you can do it on the very bottom of the home page.

Anyway, I decided to do an article about working with sketches and the various ways you can take a sketch and make it your own. I grabbed 3 sketches from the Design Team Sketches folder in the gallery (another great place to visit for inspiration). So I wanted to share what I did.

Here's the first one, a digital page using Momenta freebies. Created from Elizabeth's January sketch.

This next one was inspired by Laurajean's September 09 sketch. It's another digital layout, one with elements I created on the fly to match my photo.

This last one is from Julie's October 09 sketch. It pretty much stayed true to form, but I used ribbons instead of journaling strips. It's a paper layout, if you can't tell. ;)

So head on over to TS and sign up for the newsletter. Check out the sketch gallery for ideas next time you are looking for somewhere to start!

Treasured Scrapbooking July GDT Reveal #1

Happy July 15th! I'm revealing one of my projects using the July Treasured Scrapbooking kit today. More coming in the days ahead, but today is just one. The July Kit (Voyage of Wonder) is awesome. I love the colors (teal & orange are fun together) and the amount you get is fabulous. Not to mention there are some fun bling & shimmery pieces in there!

Grungy pages seem to be my current mood, so I distressed the paper and pictures here. Of course it's a picture of Grayson (you didn't expect different, did you?) and I'm really happy with how the page turned out.

Hope you enjoyed the page, and be sure to stop by Treasured Scrapbooking to pick up the July Kit and my challenge (there's a RAK involved).

Treasured Scrapbooking - July GDT Challenge

I was excited to be asked for a GDT spot at Treasured Scrapbooking this month. The July kit is absolutely fabulous and I'll be sharing my reveals in a few days. In the meantime I wanted to share my challenge & challenge page with you!

Since it's a month for fireworks & sparklers - I challenge everybody to create a page or card with sparkle & shimmer! So head on over and check out the challenge.
