July 4 - Kabobs!

Today I am sharing my August 1st challenge page at Kitchen Keepsake. And the RAK winner! Woohoo!!

So my challenge for August is to use a date or time as your title!
It was perfect for this page of the kids eating their red, white & blue kabobs on July 4th. We were waiting for the parade and fireworks.

There are so many ways you can do this challenge. I'd love to see how you do it! Come on over to the forum and join us.

And now on to the winner of my RAK. Thanks for everybody who commented and followed.

Random.org picked #9 for me...

so congrats Jackie Plank.

If you will pm me through the forum and I'll get it out to you!

Safety 1st {and a winner}

Happy Thursday Morning!

I've been in a bit of a funk the past few days. We got some news on Tuesday, that while I completely expected it, it has still thrown me 'off' just a bit. So I will admit that yesterday I sort of moped around. Add into that Grayson having a really rough day, and well, I just forgot all about it being Wednesday and that I was supposed to post a winner. I hope you will forgive me.

At any rate, today I'm sharing a digital layout I did. I recently joined the forum at A Cherry On Top and found a challenge to scraplift the guest creative team. So I snagged this great digital kit called Tuesday Morning and got to work. Here is what I came up with. The pictures are of Grayson, his safety gear and his scooter. At this point, the boy has grown so much that the helmet doesn't fit him. I guess we'll have to look into getting him another one. Sometimes I wish he would stop growing.

If you would like to see the page I lifted, you can snag a glance here.

And in case you didn't notice - that digital kit is on sale for $1. 100 pennies, 10 dimes or 4 quarters. Really, you can't beat that! I love a good sale, so I thought I would share with you guys. There are a bunch of other great kits in the 'sale bin' there as well.

Yes, I know... I made you look at the layout and read my junk first. You don't care, do you?! LOL! So let's go on and pick a winner, shall we?!

There were 22 comments on the Win It post. Some were duplicates, I took those out and there were 19 all together. Random.org picked number 10!

That would be...

Congrats! Please contact me through a forum or email me so I can get your prize out!

And thank you to all the new followers. I hope you will stick around - I'll be doing more prizes and such in the future!

Life is all about moments

I know its a cliche... but it is the honest truth. So many times when we are upset, we tend to forget about the great things that constantly happen to us. At least I know I do. I always thought I was mostly normal, so I would assume everybody else does too. Maybe not though, who knows?

I started plotting this layout over the weekend (as one of the things that is on the list happened, you'll just have to guess which) and finished it up this morning. A reminder that it is the little moments that make up our life. The big ones count, but the little moments make it all worth it - good and bad. I didn't want to only scrap about bad moments, so I included some really great ones as well.

Moments I Love =>
When Jeff Walks In The Door
Hugs From The Kids
Hearing I Love You

Moments I Dislike =>
The Bathroom Is Out Of TP
You Spill Your Drink
Your Pants Are Too Tight
You Realize You Left Your Wallet

Hope you can get out and enjoy this wonderful Monday! It looks gorgeous here, hopefully it will stay that way and we can use the grill for dinner tonight. :)

And don't forget, you've got another day or two to enter the giveaway for the mystery box - so head on over!!

In case you didn't know, CSN Stores have a HUGE variety of items. You can pick up everything in one location from things like extra tall bar stools to kids toys to kitchen gadgets and appliances.

Momenta Projects & A Giveaway!!

Have I mentioned how much I love the card packs from Momenta? It may be my laziness, but not having to cut the card base and saving the few extra minutes really help me out. I also love to make thank you cards, and probably because I use them moreso than any other card.

Here is a card I made, using the Birthday Wishes Card Pack (NC-1267), Family Ties Paper Pack (PA-1486), Thank You Stickers (ST-3047), Flutter Stickers (ST-3075), Flutter Rubons (RO-1849) and the Pastel Gems (ST-3031).

Here is a digital page I put together using some digital freebies from Momenta. They really do have a bit of everything for everyone!

Now, on to the giveaway... we all know that is why you are here. ;) LOL!

Since I love my Momenta goodies so much, I want to share them with you! Up for grabs is "A Family Affair" Page Kit! The colors in this kit are so much fun and I know you will enjoy working with it.

Now, on to the details...
a. leave a comment on this post between now and Friday (11/12)
b. blog about the giveaway and leave a link in the comments
c. become a follower of my blog (if you aren't already)

For each of these instances, you will receive an entry. The winner will be announced on Saturday (11/13) - so be sure to check back over the weekend to see if you are the lucky one!

Dirty Scraps Challenge 19 & Blog Hop

Have you heard the news? Dirty Scraps is hosting it's first blog hop on October 23rd and 24th. So not only will there be awesome eye candy from the designer's at Dirty Scraps, but there will be some great prizes and fun giveaways too!

Here's a sneak of the prize I am providing... A pack of Momenta goodies - all ready and waiting to be played with!

And on to the current challenge (#19) at Dirty Scraps...

"You thought I didn't know....but I do"

This challenge is all about lies. I decided to scrap about the feeling of betrayal that you get after you discovered you have been lied to. I'm sure we've all experienced it.

Supplies:
Fancy Pants Papers, Bazzill Cardstock, Prima Flowers & Leaves, American Crafts Felt Accent Pieces & Thickers, Kaiser Craft Pearls, Maya Road Sheer, DMC Embroidery Floss, Helmar 450 Glue, Misc Buttons and Doodlebug Designs Alphabet Stickers.

Journaling: I opened my heart and soul to you. I trusted you completely. When I find out you lied, I feel betrayed. It became a quick realization that I don't matter to you. That my feelings aren't important. The trust has been broken and I don't know it can be re-gained.

And here are a couple of close-up shots of the embellishment gatherings...

Be sure to stop by the Dirty Scraps blog and participate in the challenge. You can't win a prize if you don't play along!! And the prize is from Paper Wishes, so hurry up!

We have a busy rest of the week coming up, so I don't know how much I'll be blogging. We are headed to the NC Zoo in the next couple days, I am having dinner with some friends on Friday to celebrate a birthday and we are celebrating grayson turning 2 soon. So I should have tons of fun pictures to scrap in the near future.

happy mail days (and a RAK)

I have been having lots of good scrappy luck lately, which in turn means lots of happy mail days for me! I won a set of Copic Sketch Markers. I've also got this awesome Trunk in the Attic paper from Donna Salazar sitting here that I want to use. Seriously, if you haven't seen it (or her) - check out the page! She is totally awesome and has some fabulous tutorials. Then I got some great new helmar adhesive for referring people to their facebook fan page. I can't wait to try it out! And to top it off, I got some totally fun Pink Paislee in a RAK on Melonie's Blog! Can you believe what luck I've had lately? I sure can't! Now, I better get my rear end in gear and show you guys how I put all this stuff to use!

Now for my bad news... apparently the Basic Grey magnetic cutting mat is not self healing. :( My rotary cutter finally did it in. It's sad, b/c I absolutely loved using it for cutting fabric... with the ruler holding it down. Guess i'm gonna be buying the super big fiskars mat from my local walmart.

And because I'm a firm believer in paying it forward, so I've decided to do a RAK of my own. Just leave a comment on this thread between now and Sunday (4/11) and I will spread the luck by choosing one person to receive a RAK of some rub-ons and a small page kit that I put together (sorry, no pic of the page kit)!
