July 4 - Kabobs!

Today I am sharing my August 1st challenge page at Kitchen Keepsake. And the RAK winner! Woohoo!!

So my challenge for August is to use a date or time as your title!
It was perfect for this page of the kids eating their red, white & blue kabobs on July 4th. We were waiting for the parade and fireworks.

There are so many ways you can do this challenge. I'd love to see how you do it! Come on over to the forum and join us.

And now on to the winner of my RAK. Thanks for everybody who commented and followed.

Random.org picked #9 for me...

so congrats Jackie Plank.

If you will pm me through the forum and I'll get it out to you!

Braelyn in the Snow

Hot weather and cold pictures! I decided to scrap a picture of B playing in some of the snow on the deck last winter. She knew she couldn't go out there without shoes and a jacket, so she did it all herself. You might notice that she has two different shoes on and they are on the wrong feet. I will definitely miss the 'cuteness' of a fun toddler, but not the attitude. :)

This page was done for the July sketch challenge over at Kitchen Keepsake. If you are looking for inspiration, come check it out!

I used the Ms. Giggle Box kit from Sweet Digi Scraps. I love that kit, but I believe it has been retired.

And don't forget... you still have time to enter the RAK drawing on my Kitchen Keepsake Blog Hop post! And lots of the other participants blogs as well!

List Something!

Lists are so much fun to use. My challenge at Kitchen Keepsake for the 1st of July is to use a list on your page. So here I am to share my page with you. Its a digital page and uses a variety of designers and elements.

And, in case you haven't heard, on July 15th Kitchen Keepsake will be having a blog hop with the challenges posted that day. It should be lots of fun, with lots of prizes! I might even have a digital freebie for you to grab during the hop. So stay tuned. :)

This page is a timeline of our family and how it has grown throughout the past 10 years. :) I like how it turned out.

Silly Siblings

My kids love to sing. I'm sure they are no different than any other kids, but honestly they will belt out into song for anything. On this particular day we were all in the kitchen talking and all of a sudden they bust out into song. I wish I could remember what they were singing, but no such luck.

This is my first June Challenge at Kitchen Keepsake - Tic Tac Toe!

Here is the tic tac toe board I created, of which I used the top row for my layout.

Come by and check the challenge out on the forum. And the fabulous pages the other members have done!

Turning 3 (Kitchen Keepsake Challenge)

So my 2nd June challenge over at Kitchen Keepsake is to use a big number or letter on your page! This just made sense to me. And I used Sweet Digi Scraps Choose Happiness kit which is available at The Digi Chick.

Its also a perfect time to come check out the new Kitchen Keepsake forum! Have you seen it? Huh? Huh?
Everything is all shiny and new! Stop on by, we would love to see you there.

Obviously these pics are from Braelyn turning 3. She is too funny, y'all see her face in the bottom picture? Hilarious!

Spaghetti Face

Have you seen my kid? She can be a doll. She likes to dress up, she likes earrings, she likes her nails painted. She can be adorable, sweet and a beautiful little angel.

On the other hand, she is a nasty individual. She gets food everywhere. I have to wash her hair after every other meal. She has been known to spread mashed potato, yogurt and spaghetti everywhere.

Well, this particular evening it was spaghetti...

and she showed me her true attitude when I took the picture.

See you back tomorrow with some more cheap teacher gift ideas!

I'm a Lucky Mom

I know my kids are just like everybody else's, but I do feel like the luckiest mom in the world (most days, LOL). Of course there are some days when my kids are overbearing and aggravate me. I'm sure yours do too. Yes, I have to watch the same movie 6 bagillion times in a row. Yes, I have to do all the gross jobs. Yes, I found mold in my car where somebody had spilled milk and not told me (I was pretty angry about that one). But all of them are worth it. Yes, ALL of them!

There are so many awesome things about being a mom though, things I never would have imagined. My kids can make me laugh at the same time they make me cry. They know exactly when to walk up and give me a hug. They say "I love you" at the perfect moment (of course, there is never a bad moment to hear that).

I created this page with the Fun Zone kit from Sweet Digi Scraps. I was looking for something bright and colorful and this kit totally fit the bill! Be sure to check her kits out. She is an awesome designer and there is a cute freebie up on her facebook page right now.

I also did this with a challenge at Kitchen Keepsake in mind. The challenge is to use the word 'lucky' in your title. Head on over to the forum, new challenges will be posted in just a few days!

Just Us

Today's share is a picture of the hubs and I, taken while we were on vacation in December. There are so few pictures of us, I love it.

The kit I used is You Complete Me from Sweet Digi Scraps. The colors are so cute and of course the kit has some of the best elements in it. The bundle gets you everything too! :)

My 2nd Birthday

Two is such a fun age. I promise, that isn't said with any sarcasm... since we just made it through that age with our youngest. I would gladly go back to two right now. At least I don't *look* like a terror in my birthday pictures (those are the ones that came later that day, LOL). So here ya go, my second birthday.
This page was inspired by a challenge over at Kitchen Keepsakes (scrap a baby picture of yourself).

The kit I used for this page is Owl Be Home by Simple Girl Scraps. Cute, right?!

07 February 2013

hippie hair

I love this picture of Braelyn. I bribed her with a sticker to sit there long enough to braid it. Jeff came home and immediately asked me what was up with the 'hippie hair'. I thought it was adorable :)

I used Find Your Time by Sus Designs, including the Flairs & Brads and the Alpha packs. Of course, these are available at Scrap TakeOut. I think the colors in the kit go perfectly with the muted colors in the picture. And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Goofin' Off

I feel like I'm in a scrapping rut, so when the opportunity to work with a template arose I jumped on it!

I love the blocking template and the kit colors are perfect for the colors in Braelyn's shirt. Both the template and the kit are from Bee Artistic. I used the Fruity Tooty Template and On My Desk kit. Both are available from Scrap TakeOut!

Poor Sick Baby

I will preface this by saying I absolutely know this picture is gross and for that I apologize. LOL!

We had a good bit of crud around our house last fall, everybody seemed to get sick over and over again. At this moment I happened to have the camera out to take a picture of a project and my baby girl let out a hideous and violent sneeze. At any rate, the picture works perfect for this kit. The kit is great and will work perfectly for non gross sick pics also :)

Do check it out if you have a chance, you can pick it up at TheDigiChick.

2013 Calendar Pages {part ii}

Today I'm sharing another group of the calendar pages I did for 2013. The kits are from a variety of sources, but I believe the majority (if not all) of these are available at Scrap TakeOut.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a card, see you then! :)

So Proud

Today I want to share a page of my boy. He makes me so proud (frustrated at the same time though, LOL). Sometimes I have to remind myself that he's only four. The other night he counted all the way to 200 with only a little help. He did a fabulous job with his letter to Santa last month and he knows all his letters, now we are working on the letter sounds. I just can't believe he is going to kindergarten in the fall. These days I don't do enough layouts of him either, I've been making sure I get pages of the girl done so I can sort of catch up.

So here you go, a page to express that I'm proud of my boy. :)

I created this page using the Clean Slate kit from Sweet Digi Scraps, which is available at thedigichick.com.

11 January 2013

baby girl

I love the look on her face in this picture, for a moment she looks happy & sweet. :) And I guess I have to finally admit that the child looks like me. Everyone keeps saying it, so it must be true.

This page was done for a new release at Scrap TakeOut, using Jen Yurko's So Cheeky Kit & Alphas.

Life is Beautiful

I love watching my kids in moments of happiness. At this particular moment they weren't bickering, they weren't even paying attention to each other. It makes my heart happy to look at pictures like this. :)

This page was made with the Life is Beautiful kit from Sweet Digi Scraps.

2013 Calendar Pages

Each year for Christmas I put together a calendar for my Grandma. Since she doesn't get to see my kids much in person, it's a small way I can share them with her each month. Today I'm sharing a few of the pages from that.

All of these pages were created with goods from Scrap TakeOut, check them out if you have a chance. The store is full of super talented designers with new releases every Thursday!

03 January 2013

zoo trip

These pictures are a couple years old. I actually can't believe that much time has passed. It is really hard to believe.

This was a cute little recap page I made from our zoo trip and the kit went perfectly with the zoo pictures. Everything I used is from FranB. The kit is Jungle Safari and I also used her Date Me set.

Time just gets away from me

I will be honest and admit that I just haven't been managing my time, given that information I haven't been doing much paper scrapping. I have been trying to keep up with some digital scrapping though.

Because I haven't been doing very well sharing my pages I'm going to share a few with you now. These are all using Sweet Digi Scraps kits available at The Digichick. And there is still time to check out Sweet Digi Scraps daily giveaways on her blog!

Hello There!

Wow, how much life has changed in the past couple weeks for us. I haven't had much of a chance to blog, scrap or do much of anything. I love this time of year, the weather is starting to get cooler, the leaves are beginning to fall (I could actually do without them on the back deck) and the holidays are on the horizon!

I hope that the kids and I will eventually get into a routine and be able to get some productive things done. In the meantime, I thought I would share with you a great new set of releases from Sweet Digi Scraps.

Have you seen Miss & Mister Wonderful from SDS in the digichick store? I absolutely love these kits, they are wonderful!

So first up is the Mister Wonderful kit! Here is the page I created with a picture that I absolutely adore

And here is the kit - check it out!

And up next is the Miss Wonderful kit! For this page I decided to do one of myself. I love the colors of the kit, the blue, purple & pinks are so much fun.

And check out the kit preview...
