happy mail days (and a RAK)

I have been having lots of good scrappy luck lately, which in turn means lots of happy mail days for me! I won a set of Copic Sketch Markers. I've also got this awesome Trunk in the Attic paper from Donna Salazar sitting here that I want to use. Seriously, if you haven't seen it (or her) - check out the page! She is totally awesome and has some fabulous tutorials. Then I got some great new helmar adhesive for referring people to their facebook fan page. I can't wait to try it out! And to top it off, I got some totally fun Pink Paislee in a RAK on Melonie's Blog! Can you believe what luck I've had lately? I sure can't! Now, I better get my rear end in gear and show you guys how I put all this stuff to use!

Now for my bad news... apparently the Basic Grey magnetic cutting mat is not self healing. :( My rotary cutter finally did it in. It's sad, b/c I absolutely loved using it for cutting fabric... with the ruler holding it down. Guess i'm gonna be buying the super big fiskars mat from my local walmart.

And because I'm a firm believer in paying it forward, so I've decided to do a RAK of my own. Just leave a comment on this thread between now and Sunday (4/11) and I will spread the luck by choosing one person to receive a RAK of some rub-ons and a small page kit that I put together (sorry, no pic of the page kit)!

Wow! You HAVE had some awesome luck and great mail days lately!

About that mat - - you should contact BG - - it is advertised as self-healing all over the place (here is the HSN product description: http://crafts-sewing.hsn.com/basic-grey-20-pc-magnetic-precision-mat-kit_p-3298950_xp.aspx) I know someone who got their mat replaced at no cost.

Lol I was gonna say I looked up and it says Self healing and BASIC GREY IS A GREAT company usually stand behind things. Try it Kelly.
I think it will be good I waited so long for my BG Mat no problems yet.

Yay for you winning RAK's! That is awesome! But I am so sorry to hear about your mat!! I would die if that happened to mine. I use that thing for everything! I hope you can get you a new one really soon! :)

Yeah for the Helmar! Are you submitting for their team?

I am so not please with the BG mat. Mine looks awful, not only is it not self healing is all bent out of shape. Now I just glue on it because it's not good for much else.

Wow, you are LUCKY!!!!! I love those rub-ons!

I love the corkboard you made! So cute!!! Funny thing, all along, I was thinking of making them into a hot pad for the table. It NEVER occured to me to take cork and make it into a decorative cork board! Duh!!!!

I've been saving corks too, but I only have like 7! (only my husband drinks an occasional bottle of wine!) So, I guess I need to buy them, too! Were they in the kitchen tools section or crafts?
