I love this picture of Braelyn. I bribed her with a sticker to sit there long enough to braid it. Jeff came home and immediately asked me what was up with the 'hippie hair'. I thought it was adorable :)
I used Find Your Time by Sus Designs, including the Flairs & Brads and the Alpha packs. Of course, these are available at Scrap TakeOut. I think the colors in the kit go perfectly with the muted colors in the picture. And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Goofin' Off
I feel like I'm in a scrapping rut, so when the opportunity to work with a template arose I jumped on it!
I love the blocking template and the kit colors are perfect for the colors in Braelyn's shirt. Both the template and the kit are from Bee Artistic. I used the Fruity Tooty Template and On My Desk kit. Both are available from Scrap TakeOut!

2013 Calendar Pages {part ii}
Today I'm sharing another group of the calendar pages I did for 2013. The kits are from a variety of sources, but I believe the majority (if not all) of these are available at Scrap TakeOut.
Tomorrow I'll be back with a card, see you then! :)

baby girl
I love the look on her face in this picture, for a moment she looks happy & sweet. :) And I guess I have to finally admit that the child looks like me. Everyone keeps saying it, so it must be true.
This page was done for a new release at Scrap TakeOut, using Jen Yurko's So Cheeky Kit & Alphas.

2013 Calendar Pages
Each year for Christmas I put together a calendar for my Grandma. Since she doesn't get to see my kids much in person, it's a small way I can share them with her each month. Today I'm sharing a few of the pages from that.
All of these pages were created with goods from Scrap TakeOut, check them out if you have a chance. The store is full of super talented designers with new releases every Thursday!

zoo trip
These pictures are a couple years old. I actually can't believe that much time has passed. It is really hard to believe.
This was a cute little recap page I made from our zoo trip and the kit went perfectly with the zoo pictures. Everything I used is from FranB. The kit is Jungle Safari and I also used her Date Me set.

Welcome 2013
1.1.13
Does that seem unreal to anybody else?
This is a quick post since I want to get it in before midnight my time. ;)
I hope everyone has had a wonderful new year. I hope 2013 brings you and your family blessings and joy.
I've got some fun new things planned!

just having fun
I love this page, not only for the design, but for the memory this sparks for me. I had so much fun watching the kids play in the garden hose and sprinkler their dad made them this month. It really brought back great memories for me, of the rare moments where my brother and I actually got along and played together. Or the days running through the sprinkler in our front yard with the neighbors. :)
In my journaling on the page I wrote that playing like this is almost like a right of passage for childhood. And I really believe that. Doesn't the thought of playing with sprinklers and garden hoses make you think of your summers as a kid? Of course, that top picture tugs at my heart... I just love it!
And if you are interested in the kit and template, they are from Sweet Digi Scraps. The template is available for free (hello, can't beat that) as the Template Challenge in the forum at Scrap TakeOut and the kit is Ms Giggle Box from Sweet Digi Scraps, which is available in the August Diner's Club at STO.
Enjoy your Tuesday, hope to see you tomorrow with another fun digital!

little trucker girl
I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to blog or even scrapbook. I miss it, but unfortunately sometimes other things have to take priority. I still have a mini book I've been working on, although it has moved off my table (had to start a sewing project for my mom). Now I'd like to finish up the sewing project so I can get back to scrapbooking. And I am really looking forward to the coming weeks so we can get a new routine with preschool being added to the mix.
In the meantime, I do have some digital pages I can share so I'm going to be doing that this week. Hopefully I'll even have a chance to put together some paper projects. :)
But today is a digital page of the girl. Just a pic I snapped with my cell phone while I was cleaning out the garage one day. This girl loves riding in the truck, so much more than she likes playing with her four wheeler. Good thing she doesn't really know how to make it move, otherwise I'm sure I'd have to track her down from the neighbor's house.
The page was done with bits & pieces from Fran B's Park Pals Add On and Jen Yurko's Lucky Me. It was just a quick page, inspired by the Ad Challenge at Scrap TakeOut during July. Definitely not the best picture in the world, but I do love seeing her playing with the truck. :)

Summer
We've been doing a lot of summer stuff the past couple weeks. Knowing summer is coming to an end is sort of heartbreaking. I'm still somewhat shocked that the boy is old enough to start preschool.
Today is a digital page using Life's Lemonade kit from Sweet Digi Scraps. This page was created using the scraplift challenge at Scrap TakeOut as inspiration. Lots of layering!
And speaking of Sweet Digi Scraps, today I get to share that I made the CT for the remainder of 2012. I'm so happy to be working with her designs, they are fabulous! Be sure to check them out, and read her blog if you have a chance. She has some great tutorials and the other designers are so inspirational.

randomness
Well, I have been getting next to nothing done for the last few days. Actually, I've done quite a few things around the house but none of them have been scrapbook related. :( I started a mini last week and it is still sitting on my table in the same condition I left it in (that in and of itself is a miracle).
I have managed to get a few other things accomplished though. We moved some furniture around, cleaned up some space in our garage, I've washed almost all of the laundry, blah blah blah. I'm sure you don't care what my house looks like, but *I* care. I have a long list of things I want to get done around here. One day I might actually knock that list out, but there is no sight of that anytime soon.
Since I haven't had a bunch of time, I'm actually sharing a digital page I did last month. It was for a challenge over at Scrap Takeout and I don't think I've shared it yet (my apologies if I have). Zoeller gave me the meanest look when I called her away from her food bowl. Very much different than her normal personality. The kit is Lucky Me by Jen Yurko. Such cute embellies and papers, and I love the colors!
I promise to be back on my blogging schedule tomorrow, I've got a fun layout of the boys doing boy stuff to share! But in the meantime I have to get working on some of this to do list.

book reading
Well, I guess this is going to be a week full of digital shares. I did get to my scrap table and I've started on a project, but I think it might take me a little bit to finish it. :(
So today I'm sharing another digital. These pictures aren't the best, nor was this event because I remember Grayson being cranky. But it was cool that they got the experience anyway.
This is done for the template challenge over at Scrap TakeOut this month. The kit is So Sprecial by Sweet Digi Scraps and the template is from FranB. I'm kinda loving the templates these days, they make putting together pages super easy!

Summer Water Fun
Since I took a little break the last couple days of last week, I thought I would share why...
The kids took advantage of the hot & humid weather by having fun with the garden hose. So much so, that their daddy built them a sprinkler. They love it!
And of course, I did a couple digi pages this weekend to celebrate it ...
I think the boy actually had more fun drenching his sister, but she didn't seem to mind at all. Although he seemed a little shocked when I didn't yell at him. LOL!
Hope you are enjoying the last of the summer as much as we are!

Look Mom - A Trophy!
First up I have to share a pic of the boy. He is absolutely in love with his trophy, and of course he really wanted to take it to bed last night. We decided that we would put up a special shelf in his room and he can put it on there, but for now it found a home on his dresser. First thing this morning, he tells me he is pretending to be a shelf, puts the trophy on his head and backs up to the wall. :) I love this kid!
And on a scrapping front, this is just a quick hybrid project I did for a challenge over at Scrap Takeout. I'm not really sure if I will use this for my paint brushes or if I'll give it to the kids, but either way it turned out really cute and I love the colors. I used the Aida Scrap Hipster Soul kit to make the label, printed it off and put it on the can. Can't get much easier than that!

I do wish I would have painted the inside, but I have decided that there are few projects I wish I hadn't done something different too. And of course, if the kids wind up with it I'm sure they will gunk it up soon enough anyway.

pudding faces
Occasionally I am extra nice to my children, just occasionally though. ;) This particular day I gave them both pudding for lunch. Since they would eat an entire paycheck worth of pudding in one sitting (and then likely give it back to me), it doesn't happen too often.
They must have been really good that day though. My special little demons with their horns hidden. Aren't they cute?!
And while they were eating pudding, this was the view of the floor... actually, right after I guess since chicklet is out of the high chair.
Poor pup. She really, really wanted some chocolate pudding. I felt kinda bad for her. I would have snuck her a tiny lick, but since she has been having seizures I've been keeping anything that might possibly contribute to them away from her (to the best of my ability). I can't help it if they scavenge the trash can and find bits. I still don't understand how they can open the pantry door without having thumbs. And please excuse my ugly 80's kitchen floor. One day, one day it will be all pretty and shiny and new. But that day isn't today (and likely won't be until my kids are a little older and less destructive, LOL).
The above page was created for a not so speedy scrap challenge at Scrap Takeout. This page has stuff from Marie H Designs (Incredible Kid), Fran B (Park Pals Add On) & Jen Yurko (Lucky Me). I really am loving that site. If you are a digi scrapper, or interested in digital at all, I suggest you check it out!

I love your smile
I am amazed that July is almost over. What happened to the summer? The boy will be going to preschool in a few weeks, which is even more disturbing. I am excited for that though, I really hope I can put the hours each day to good use! On the other hand, I'm a little sad that he is growing up and we even had to think about preschool.
Today I'm sharing a page I've done for a wordart challenge at Scrap Takeout. I don't do a ton of pages solely of my husband, but I do really love the smirk on his face in this picture. And he tends to hide it, so you don't see it too often.
The majority of the page is the genuine kit by jenn2, however the film strip is from Aida Scrap and the word art is by sweet digi scraps.
Thanks for coming by, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Warm Wednesday
I don't know about you, but these days my facebook feed is filled with people vacationing at the beach. It makes me just a bit envious, cause I would love nothing more than to hear the ocean and sit and enjoy some relaxation. Unfortunately, I don't think a beach trip is on our agenda this summer. So I decided to look back at some pictures from our trip last year. Not sure if that is helping or hurting... but at least I got a page scrapped. :)
I love the warmth these pictures give me, almost enough to make me feel like I'm sitting there with the sun heating up my face (of course, that may be the sunburn I've gotten from mowing the grass). The kit is Sweet Summer by Marie H Designs and the page was done for the July color challenge at Scrap Takeout.
Enjoy your Wednesday, hopefully you are having cooler weather than we are!

Puppy Love
Today I'm sharing a digital page I did over the weekend for the font challenge at Scrap Takeout. This is a lift of a page I found on pinterest, originally found at two peas.
I used the Skies are Grey kit by Nibbles Scribbles. And I adore this picture of zoeller. She was all cute and fuzzy then and these days she is all dirty (thanks to the rain) and big.
Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

hello?
Not terribly thrilled to welcome Thursday this week, hopefully yours is better. I have to take the girl to the doctor (which always takes forever) and I have to get my eyes examined. I know, no big deal. But I really hate it. I've lived with bad eyesight for so long that I just make do. I learned early to see things through a blurry lens. I've also learned to compensate for that. I really, really think I'm going to need bifocals too... and that I'm kinda dreading. Maybe I can put it off for a little longer. On the bright side, the boy has a game tonight. So at least there will be some smiles and laughs to the day!
The kids and I watched Mr. Popper's Penguins last night. I know, boring life. What is so great about that? Well, both kids talked and rambled through the whole movie until the moment the credits came on.Know what they did then? They got up, danced and sang (well, just the boy) to Ice, Ice Baby! Yes, my 4 year old can sing most of it. And cause you know you want to hear it now, watch the video. I've even linked it up to make it easy for you. LOL! Good times!!
Now, for the scrapping...
Today is a digital page. The girl loves her phone, I'm sure she'll be asking for a cell phone in exactly 2.5 years. Sigh. But if you will notice, the phone is upside down. Can't win them all I guess...
The kit is butterfly dance from Marie H Designs. I love the colors and they were perfect for this picture.
And because I love you guys so much... here you go :)

Love You
Sunshine & happiness is what this layout makes me think of. I participated in a scraplift challenge over at Scrap Takeout and this is what I did. If you'd like to see the page I lifted, you can see it here.
And yes, if you looked at the original, I even used the same kit (although I recolored a few pieces to match her shirt). The kit is skies are grey by nibbles scribbles. I just love the clustered effect, which isn't something I do too often. I also deepened my shadows quite a bit and I've been playing with changing them up lately.
We've got a tee ball game tonight and I'm really hoping we get the rest of the schedule. This only one step ahead thing is sort of annoying since I'm a planner type person. The boy was out practicing hitting a ball on Friday while I used this baby to mow the yard.
I never would have expected to be excited about a new mower, but this sucker is fantastic! Self propelled means it goes up and down our hill without me having to push it. But mind you, it is heavy, so if you do have to push it you will expend some energy. I mowed the yard in less time and still felt like breathing afterwards. I can't thank my husband enough for getting it!
Hope you are having a fabulous Monday (if that is possible) and I'll see you again tomorrow!
